Loomer says she wants role in Trump administration: ‘Nothing I want more’

.

Right-wing activist Laura Loomer signaled that she wants a role in the second Trump administration, just days after reports indicated she raised concerns about certain members of President Donald Trump’s National Security Council, leading to their firings.

In a short post on X on Saturday, Loomer said, “I really want to work for President Trump. There is honestly nothing I want more than that.”

Loomer’s statement comes just after she met with the president on Wednesday, during which she said some NSC staffers were disloyal. Three senior NSC officials were fired after the meeting, along with National Security Agency Director Gen. Tim Haugh and his civilian deputy at the NSA, Wendy Noble.

Trump has denied that Loomer directly influenced the firings. When pressed this week on whether she had “anything to do with the NSC aides who were ousted,” the president replied, “No, not at all.”

While not serving in a particular role in the Trump administration, Loomer is close to Trump. The president signaled this week that Loomer “makes recommendations of names of people, and sometimes I listen to those recommendations, like I do with everybody.”

He also praised her in comments to reporters as a “very good patriot” and a “very strong person.”
