The White House moved its 2025 spring garden tours to Sunday “out of an abundance of caution” due to a planned protest against President Donald Trump on Saturday
The tours were originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Now, those with Saturday tickets can take the tour on Sunday between 10 a.m. ET and 2:30 p.m. ET, according to a statement from the White House on Thursday afternoon.
“All visitors for the 2025 Spring Garden Tour will still have the opportunity to explore the South Lawn of the White House, as well as the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and the White House Kitchen Garden as planned,” the statement said.
Those with tickets for Sunday should still plan to arrive at the time printed on their pass.
Washington, D.C., is one of a handful of cities around the country where the “Hands Off!” protest will take place. Left-wing protesters are also expected to demonstrate in Boston, Massachusetts, Denver, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona, and Philadelphia.

Those taking part in the Sunday garden tour will likely be the last people to see the southern magnolia tree planted by former President Andrew Jackson. The tree will be removed next week after being deemed a “safety hazard.”
According to the National Park Service, Jackson planted the original tree in honor of his late wife, Rachel Jackson, who died only a few months before he took the Oval Office in March 1829.
