The largest single-day anti-Trump protest since President Donald Trump entered office for his second term is planned for Saturday.
The “Hands Off!” movement has scheduled more than 1,100 rallies, visibility events, and meetings in every state on April 5. Most of the events appear to be planned on the East Coast.
Organizers said they’ve received nearly 250,000 RSVPs as of March 29.
“Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They’re taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them,” the website says. “On Saturday, April 5th, we’re taking to the streets nationwide to fight back with a clear message: Hands off!”
The movement is partnering with organizations such as United Auto Workers, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, Climate Action, Human Rights Campaign, MoveOn, Planned Parenthood, and many more.
The large protest follows several anti-Elon Musk demonstrations, such as the “Tesla Takedown Global Day of Action.”
“This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies,” they said. “Across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop [to] the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.”
The organization says it has a “commitment to nonviolent action” and “[expects] all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.”

One such rally is set to be held at noon on April 5 at the Washington Monument, which is considered a high-priority rally. AFL-CIO’s president will attend.
Other rallies will be held internationally in France, Canada, and Portugal.
