‘Disingenuous’ Democrats can’t fool voters who ‘know when they smell a rat’: Tiana Lowe Doescher

.

The Washington Examiner’s Tiana Lowe Doescher slammed Democrats for missing the mark as they have tried to reconnect with voters following their 2024 election losses.

While appearing on Fox Business’s The Evening Edit, Doescher noted that prominent Democrats have recently slammed the party’s messaging, with Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) notably calling the Democratic brand “toxic.” Doescher said the rhetoric fell short of a more “real” concern.

“It’s not just the Democratic brand that is unpopular,” Doescher said. “It is the very real policies, right? Sure, Gavin Newsom can pretend it’s just limited to the issue of transgender boys competing in girl’s sports, which he supported, right? But also, open borders — something that Gavin Newsom signed a bill to expand all of their state-ran Medicaid to illegal immigrants, and it also has to do with the inflationary budgetary policies of Democrats. You have [Missouri Rep.] Cori Bush and [former New York Rep.] Jamaal Bowman saying if they could do Build Back Better again they would have spent $10 trillion.”

“They never atoned for these policies, and it’s why voters know when they smell a rat,” she continued. “It’s disingenuous.”

Doescher also pointed out that the Democrats’ targeting of Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk is only because the “American people are sick” of their “anti-Trump angst.”

“You would think they would want to work with DOGE, right? Or they would want to work with Tesla, especially — which until two and a half seconds ago was very liberal coated for being the champion of EVs, making electric vehicles cool again,” Doescher said. “But instead, what do they do? They have to transfer all of the anti-Trump angst that a decade in is tired and the American people are sick of it and now they have to attack Elon for doing something that, again, is overwhelmingly popular, and that’s cutting the size, scope, and waste of the federal government.”

DEMOCRATS ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH THREATS TO BUREAUCRACY, NO DEMOCRACY: JOE CONCHA

While speaking on his recently launched podcast, This is Gavin Newsom, Newsom said Democrats tend to be more “judgmental” and “talk down to people.”

The Democratic Party’s 27% favorability rating is its lowest in at least a generation.
