Pam Bondi demands Jasmine Crockett apologize for ‘promoting’ Tesla violence

.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has demanded that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) “apologize immediately” for her recent comments against Tesla and Elon Musk, saying the congresswoman’s “words have consequences.”

Crockett’s remarks against Tesla were made during a “Tesla takedown” livestream last week, in which the congresswoman said she wants to see Musk “taken down” for her birthday this weekend. Bondi noted that while Crockett clarified she was not advocating violence, a Tesla dealership in Austin, Texas, called police to determine the presence of incendiary devices following the congresswoman’s comments, which the Austin Police Department’s bomb squad took into custody without incident.

“So she needs to unequivocally denounce the violence; she must apologize immediately, not only to all Texans but to our country, to the American shareholders of Tesla, because she is promoting violence,” Bondi said on Fox News’s Hannity.

Bondi also condemned Crockett’s recent comments against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), in which Crockett said that the senator needs to be “knocked over the head, like, hard” in debate. The attorney general predicted the congresswoman would be censured for her comments, in which she is “threatening lives” and people’s safety.

“Think of all the lives that could have been jeopardized in Texas just today by her words and what she’s done,” Bondi stated. “But she didn’t stop with that; she continued on with Senator Cruz. She has to apologize immediately and denounce the violence.”

On Sunday, Bondi warned Crockett to “tread very carefully” regarding her birthday wish related to Musk. The attorney general has also been working against Tesla vandalism, charging three people last week after she deemed such acts “domestic terrorism.”

Cruz also addressed the bomb concerns in his home state on X, questioning if any Democrats had condemned these attacks and warning, “Somebody is gonna get killed.” The senator also shared a post juxtaposing two video clips of Crockett saying she has never promoted violence alongside footage of her most recent comments against Cruz.
