Democrats are more concerned with threats to bureaucracy, not democracy: Joe Concha

.

Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha slammed Democrats’ rhetoric that has criticized the Department of Government Efficiency, noting the Left is more concerned about maintaining its bureaucracy — not defending democracy.

“When Democrats talk about threats to democracy, they really mean threats to bureaucracy and large government overreach, and in this case reaching into our pockets in order to take our taxes,” Concha told the Evening Edit on Fox Business.

Concha noted that the majority of United States voters support DOGE’s efforts to cut government spending waste, in addition to supporting President Donald Trump’s plan to expand tax cuts.

Democrats believe that Democrats, they could spend our money better if they tax it and then spend it,” Concha said. “And clearly we see with all this waste and corruption that DOGE is uncovering that no, they can’t be trusted with our tax dollars, and Republicans make the basic argument that no, taxpayer money is better off mostly in the pockets of the American people because that only spurs economic growth.”

Despite Democrats’ claims that GOP efforts to expand tax cuts through the extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act are a giveaway to the ultrawealthy, Concha recalled that President John F. Kennedy cut taxes in 1961 amid a recession, which caused the economy to improve.

“Democrats used to get it. They don’t anymore,” Concha added.
