Tesla attacks showcase ‘split screen’ of Musk and Tim Walz: Tiana Lowe Doescher

.

The Washington Examiner’s Tiana Lowe Doescher argued that the myriad of Tesla attacks have spotlighted the difference in leadership between billionaire Elon Musk and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), with the former able to do something the U.S. government could not.

Walz, who was former Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 running mate, took a victory lap over Tesla’s declining stock during a speech on Tuesday, saying that it gives him “a little bit of a boost.” The comment was made amid various acts of vandalism against Tesla dealerships in the country.

Doescher, a commentary writer for the Washington Examiner, pointed out how several Democrats are cheering Tesla’s struggles after former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden “passed all of the federal subsidies for Tesla,” allowing the electric car maker to get its start in the industry.

“And look, God bless Elon Musk. If you want to have the split screen right now the difference between Democratic governance and Republican governance, you have Tim Walz, who bragged while he was running for our nation’s vice president that he did not have any investments in equity, right?” Doescher said on Fox Business’s Mornings with Maria Bartiromo. “Unlike the majority of Americans who are invested in the stock market in some way, he bragged about only having taxpayer-funded pensions. Split screen that with Elon Musk being the one to send SpaceX to save the astronauts the Biden administration left stranded, and the government couldn’t do it, Elon Musk could.”

Meanwhile, on CNN, contributor Shermichael Singleton was also critical of Walz, calling him “a complete moron” for celebrating Tesla’s dipping stock. Singleton also noted how Tesla employs “80,000 plus Americans” and that the company’s stock possibly declining further could translate into downsizing employment.

Singleton also called for legal action against the Tesla vandals, urging authorities to arrest them and “set an example of them.” Business entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary similarly called for the law to be upheld, writing on X that “it doesn’t matter what party you’re on.”

TIM WALZ REBRANDS HIMSELF AS AN OBNOXIOUS FAKE TOUGH GUY

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced last week that the Department of Justice is working on investigating the multiple acts of vandalism against Tesla, warning that any future vandals had “better watch out because we’re coming after you.”

Last weekPresident Donald Trump also bought his own Tesla to support Musk and his company, calling the electric car “a great product.” Musk also revealed during the president’s purchase that Tesla will “double” its vehicle output in the United States over the next two years.
