President Joe Biden is delivering remarks in Philadelphia on his administration’s support for unions.
He is set to begin speaking at 4:30 p.m. ET. His appearance comes amid controversy, following revelations that White House aides had tampered with the transcript of Biden’s remarks, in which he referred to Trump supporters as “garbage” against the wishes of nonpolitical federal stenographers.

Biden’s trip to Philadelphia comes less than a week before the presidential election and may be aimed at bolstering support for Vice President Kamala Harris in the swing state. He will tout the Biden-Harris administration’s record on labor matters.
He has previously called himself the most “pro-union” president in U.S. history.
