Trump and Harris blitz key states with election fast approaching

.

With 15 days until Election Day, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are ramping up their campaign blitzes as they make their closing pitches to voters.

The two campaigns are going across the battleground states over the next week as polling indicates a tight race for the White House. Here is where the campaigns will be hitting the trail over the next week as of Monday.

Monday

Harris is holding a trio of events with former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan in a bid to win over anti-Trump Republicans. Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), Harris’s running mate, appeared on ABC’s The View during the day on Monday and will appear on Comedy Central’s Daily Show in the evening. Walz will also participate in a fundraiser in New York City.

Other Harris surrogates are hitting the trail and fundraising circuit. Second gentleman Doug Emhoff is speaking at two Harris campaign events in Pennsylvania, while former President Barack Obama is at a fundraiser in Chicago.

Trump visited North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. He will hold a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, at 3 p.m., followed by an appearance at the 11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting with Eric Trump and Ben Carson in Concord, North Carolina, that evening.

The Trump campaign is also kicking off a weeklong bus tour in Pennsylvania with various campaign surrogates making the case for the former president. The tour will have three stops on Monday, with Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), Mayor J.D. Longo of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, former Rep. Lee Zeldin, and former California Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado, among others. The bus tour will stop in Sharon Hill, Bethlehem, and Allentown.

Tuesday

Two weeks before Election Day, the Harris campaign is not scheduled to have the vice president on the trail, but several of her surrogates will be making the case for her. Harris will have an interview for NBC Nightly News, which will air on Tuesday evening.

Walz and Obama will campaign in Madison, Wisconsin, on the first day of early voting in the state, and Obama will also campaign in Detroit, Michigan.

Trump will hold two events and a rally on Tuesday. He will host a roundtable with Latino leaders at Trump National Doral Miami in the morning and a virtual “Make America Healthy Again” town hall on Tuesday afternoon. The former president will hold a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, in the evening.

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Trump’s running mate, will hold a pair of rallies in Arizona, speaking in Peoria and Tucson. The Trump campaign bus tour will make stops in Dickson City, Wilkes-Barre, and State College.
