“Brinton was arrested in their home on College Parkway,” Goff said. “They are being held in the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing.”

Goff also said that the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police “are lead on this” arrest and that Montgomery County Police “assisted in the arrest.”

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority oversees Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, and Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia.

Public records show that a hearing for Brinton was scheduled for 1 p.m. on Thursday at Montgomery County District Court after Brinton was arrested on Wednesday.

Brinton, who is nonbinary, was let go from the Department of Energy after Brinton had been accused of stealing luggage from airports by several people.
