Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland one day after she announced efforts to impeach two other officials.

In the articles of impeachment, Greene alleges that Garland is “facilitating the weaponization and politicization of the United States justice system against the American people.”

“Attorney General Garland has failed to uphold his oath and has instead overseen a denigration of the principles of our democratic republic by politicizing the Department of Justice, and utilizing the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime,” the articles of impeachment said.

Greene cited several instances for why she believes Garland must be impeached in the articles, including accusing him of refusing to prosecute “Antifa and Black Lives Matters rioters” and “leftist extremists that harassed and threatened Supreme Court Justices,” among other accusations.

She also accuses Garland of pursuing justice with a partisan bias, alleging that he refused to charge the Biden family and its associates “for the crimes they have committed at the expense of the American people.”

“Since Merrick Garland took over as Attorney General in March of 2021, he has completely weaponized the Department of ‘Injustice.’ The politicization of the DOJ has resulted in the persecution of the left’s political enemies, and a two-tiered justice system,” Greene said in a statement.

The Georgia congresswoman also said in her statement announcing the articles of impeachment that Garland and the Department of Justice were committing “election interference” by “persecuting” former President Donald Trump.

“The DOJ’s persecution of Joe Biden’s primary political adversary, Donald J. Trump, is anti-American. Raiding the former President’s home for legally declassifying documents is a transparent violation of justice. Persecuting a declared candidate for President of the United States is nothing short of election interference,” Greene said in a statement.

Greene has been touting the past week as “impeachment week” after she introduced articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves.

“Under Wray’s watch, the FBI has intimidated, harassed, and entrapped American citizens that have been deemed enemies of the Biden regime. As such, Director Wray has turned the FBI into Joe Biden and Merrick Garland’s personal police force,” Greene said in a statement on Tuesday.
