WATCH LIVE: Biden delivers remarks on preventing the country from defaulting

President Joe Biden is set to address the nation on how he hopes to avoid the United States defaulting on its debt obligations.

The remarks come shortly before Biden is expected to fly to Japan to attend a meeting of the G-7 summit.

Biden hosted congressional leaders at the White House on Tuesday to discuss the debt ceiling, as the deadline to avoid a default is June 1, per Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
