Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said she wants to see the federal government directly address the major problems facing Americans.

While speaking on Fox News Tonight, Haley commented on President Joe Biden’s recent commencement speech at Howard University that stated, “The most dangerous threat to our homeland is white supremacy.” Haley said Democrats are missing the mark as “Leftists insert race into everything.”

BIDEN’S DEBT GAMES ARE ALL PLAYED OUT

“Inflation is running rampant. You’ve got wokeism in schools. You’ve got crime at all-time highs. You got illegal immigrants and a totally open border. You’ve got China on the march. And that hasn’t nothing to do with race,” Haley said. “Leftists insert race into everything, insert race into everything.”

“All that does is pit people against each other, and it doesn’t allow us to get into solutions,” Haley added. “So, their answer to everything is to blame everybody else for being racist but not them, and we see how that’s played out.”

When asked about a 2020 tweet that showed support for NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s claims about a noose placed in his garage, which has since been proven false, Haley said she regrets blindly trusting NASCAR.

“When I saw NASCAR came out with that, and they showed all of those race car drivers behind him, I trusted them, And I trusted that they had done their homework. That clearly was not the case. I had a long relationship with them, and I had no reason to doubt them,” Haley said, reflecting on her relationship with the racing organization during her time as South Carolina governor. “They had never done anything false before. They’re a group that always does their homework. They always are very careful and measured in everything they do. So, I trusted friends that I had worked with for years.”

The former United Nations Ambassador said she is running for the presidency because she desires to restore America to the land her parents knew 50 years ago, one “that was strong and proud and full of opportunity.”

Polls show Haley trailing in the polls among Republican presidential primary candidates and those expected to enter the race with a 4.6% favorability rating in comparison to former President Donald Trump’s 52.6% and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s 21.4%.

Haley has previously noted that she was not deterred by the polling numbers, saying: “Go look at any presidential election prior to this, at this point in time, and tell me if the polls didn’t change dramatically a year from now.”
