Kirk Cameron is taking his next story hour to Charlotte, North Carolina, in an effort to “rededicate [libraries] to instill strong moral values in the next generation of Americans.”
As part of Cameron’s nationwide library tour reading his faith-based children’s book As You Grow, he will hold two story hour sessions on Saturday, May 13, at the Billy Graham Library.

“Culture is coming for our kids but we can fight it together,” Cameron said of his library tour alongside his Brave Books publisher.
Brave Books told the Washington Examiner that around 1,000 people are expected to attend Cameron’s story hour sessions as both have sold out.
In addition to the story hour sessions, parents and children may attend a meet and greet with a book signing that does not require ticketed admission.
Cameron began his nationwide tour after around 50 libraries originally rejected his request in December but still held drag queen story hours.
“Libraries used to be safe places for families, but many of them now seem to be agenda-driven places that welcome drag queens to hold story hours for children,” President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Franklin Graham said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. “This is just plain wrong, and I’m so glad Kirk Cameron has decided to tell a different story — a story with Biblical values.”

“It’s a shame that some libraries and activists have tried to stop him,” Graham continued. “They want him to shut up and sit down, but Kirk isn’t afraid to take a stand for what’s right, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
The story hour held at the Billy Graham Library is Cameron’s eleventh stop on his nationwide library tour.
