White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will deliver remarks on Friday afternoon alongside Infrastructure Implementation Coordinator Mitch Landrieu.

Jean-Pierre will speak with reporters hours after the pandemic-era border policy Title 42 expired at midnight on Thursday. The expected surge of illegal immigrants failed to materialize on Friday morning, though tens of thousands of migrants had been detained in the days and hours leading up to the policy’s expiration.
