Biden is calling on Congress to raise the debt ceiling without any conditions, disavowing the bill House Republicans passed which limits spending to 2022 levels.
The president is speaking at a venue which is in New York’s 17th Congressional District, a swing district represented by Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY). Lawler is scheduled to attend the event despite voting for the GOP plan that Biden has railed against.
