Anheuser-Busch is purportedly offering its front-line employees and wholesalers financial support as the backlash from Bud Light’s controversial partnership with Dylan Mulvaney continues to savage the brand.

Employees, including delivery drivers, independent distributors, and sales representatives, have been on the brunt end of Anheuser-Busch’s financial battering following the partnership with Mulvaney.

They are confronted in bars and on the streets by individuals upset at the iconic Bud Light going “woke,” and executives are now offering financial support to those front-line teams, according to a report.

“They are our neighbors, family members, and friends. They are in every community in America,” Chief Executive Michel Doukeris said during a Thursday conference call, the report noted.

“The beer itself should not be the focus of the debate.”

Between April 17 and April 22, Bud Light sales were down 26.1% from what they were a year ago, according to Connecticut-based Bump Williams Consulting, a firm specializing in the alcoholic beverage industry.

Many on the Right are furious about Bud Light going “woke” and allowing Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as female, to promote its product while dressed like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The move to partner with the transgender activist appears to have been a part of the push by executives to “evolve and elevate” Bud Light, but it has come at a great cost to both Anheuser-Busch’s bankroll and public image, and at least two senior marketing executives have been forced to take a leave of absence.

Offering financial support to workers impacted will come as Bud Light is readying itself to spend big on a massive marketing blitz.
