Minnesota state senator appears shirtless in legislative Zoom meeting

A Minnesota state senator was caught in an embarrassing situation when he appeared shirtless during a legislative Zoom meeting.
Toward the end of a nine-minute Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor meeting over Zoom on Monday, the meeting head appeared to be calling attendance as the camera showed different members who were present online. When GOP state Sen. Calvin Bahr was called on, he responded, “Yes,” and his black screen briefly flashed on.

For around a second, at the six-minute and 43-second mark, Bahr’s screen showed him lying shirtless in bed, largely covered by a blanket. His background drew attention too; it featured an animation from Schoolhouse Rock’s “I’m Just a Bill” cartoon.

Bahr quickly realized his mishap and turned his screen off, turning back to a black screen superimposed with his name.
At least two in-person meeting attendees could be seen laughing in the background for several seconds afterward.

Bahr, a business owner and truck driver, was first elected to the state House in 2016, then was elected to the state Senate in 2022.
The Washington Examiner reached out to Bahr for comment.
