Jerry Springer dead: Talk show host dies at 79

Talk show host Jerry Springer has died at the age of 79.
Springer passed away in his Chicago home on Thursday, a spokesman person for the family told Cincinnati television station WLWT.

“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” said Jene Galvin, spokesman for the family, told the outlet.
“He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humor will live on,” the statement continued.
Springer hosted the popular talk show Jerry Springer from 1991 until 2018 and served as mayor of Cincinnati in 1977. His most recent endeavor was the short lived courtroom show Judge Jerry from 2019 until 2022.
