“Your careers are going nowhere, and Tucker’s about to dominate in whatever space he goes to,” Kelly said.
On Monday, Fox News announced it had parted ways with the ratings-leading prime-time host. In response to the news, The View’s co-hosts led their live audience in doing “the wave.”
Additionally, host Ana Navarro tossed her hands in the air and asked the audience to help her sing a rendition of Steam’s 1969 hit song, Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.
“Ana Navarro, in your wildest imagination, you could never solo host a show,” Kelly said. “You will only ever make it as part of an ensemble, and you could never hope to achieve the success that Tucker Carlson has.”
“So you can sit in your little cheap seats all day long and enjoy your little negative hen-pecking,” Kelly said.
Kelly also called Carlson’s firing “terrible” for Fox News.

“This is a terrible move by Fox, and it’s a great thing for Tucker Carlson,” the podcast host said. “I don’t know what drove Fox News to make this decision. And it was clearly Fox News’s decision because they’re not letting him say goodbye. That’s my supposition.”
Kelly suggested Carlson would benefit from starting his own independent show, noting he has the audience to follow him.
“I firmly believe Tucker will be better off,” she also said. “Getting out under the thumb of the big corporate management is a blessing. It is a blessing, and I know he’s smart enough to know that.”

Prior to taping her show, Kelly also tweeted, “Good for Tucker,” adding, “Trust me, he doesn’t need them.”
Carlson has not announced what he plans to do next. However, he released an ad on his website Monday that asks people to sign up for updates and become a “TuckerCarlson.com Insider.”
