Former President Donald Trump revealed details about his cordial relationship with former President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton, before his entrance into politics.

“They came to my wedding,” Trump said in a new Fox News interview, referring to his 2005 nuptials to his current wife, Melania, at which the Clintons were in attendance.

Fox News host Mark Levin asked, “What do you make of that? That’s politics too?”

“That’s politics too. It’s all politics,” Trump said in a clip from his interview, which will air Sunday night on Fox News Channel‘s Life, Liberty & Levin.

Trump described the former president’s love of golf and said he played “a lot” at Trump National Golf Club Westchester.

“Is he any good?” Levin asked.

“Better than people think,” the 2024 Republican presidential candidate said. “He’s got a certain level of athleticism, actually.”

Trump recalled that before he entered the political world, he had at one time spent two-and-a-half hours talking about politics with Clinton at his clubhouse.

He went on to analyze what went wrong in Hillary Clinton’s attempt to run for president in 2016.

“I think they did a great disservice by not using him when I went against Hillary. I think that they had this unbelievable weapon known as Bill Clinton, who was a natural politician,” he said.

Trump further pointed to more missteps that Hillary Clinton made in declining to visit Wisconsin and Michigan in the final stretch before Election Day, despite her husband’s warnings about the need to do campaign visits.

Trump praised the former president’s political instincts.

“He had an instinct, a natural instinct,” Trump said. “People who are good at things have a lot of natural instinct.”

“They said, ‘No, no, no, the polls indicate that he can’t win Wisconsin,’ and I ended up winning Michigan and Wisconsin,” he said to Levin.

Trump claimed that Hillary Clinton’s campaign ignored the fact that her husband was “a weapon” and instead “shut him out,” which ended up being “a mistake.”

The former president also shared his thoughts on former President Richard Nixon and noted similarities between himself and the 37th president of the United States.

“His biggest regret, according to his daughters — and I think according to him, pretty much, was that he didn’t fight. When I got impeached twice by really crooked, disgusting politicians, you know they just happened to have a majority, and the Democrats do stick together,” Trump said. “We had such great support. Nixon had no support. You know, he just didn’t have support.”
