Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) will deliver a keynote speech at the annual Heritage Foundation‘s Leadership Summit after being selected as a major headliner for the event.
His remarks will conclude the two-day summit that featured speeches from Sens. Tim Scott (R-SC), Rick Scott (R-FL), and Josh Hawley (R-MO), as well as an address from Kevin Roberts, the Heritage Foundation’s president, celebrating the organization’s 50th anniversary.

DeSantis will discuss how he created the “Florida Blueprint,” a conservative policy agenda that he details in his new book, The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival.
His keynote speech will come after he visited Washington, D.C., earlier in the week and spoke with GOP lawmakers and donors. He left with one endorsement for president in 2024 from Rep. Laurel Lee (R-FL) but lost endorsements to former President Donald Trump, who is the front-runner in the race.
DeSantis has not announced a 2024 campaign. Outside of Florida, DeSantis has won the endorsement of just two other representatives and no senators.

After visiting Washington, he will travel to South Carolina, an early battleground state for 2024 GOP presidential hopefuls. While the governor has not stated whether he is running for president, his state tours and visits indicate he may be mulling a bid for the White House.
DeSantis will speak at 11:15 a.m. in National Harbor, Maryland, on Friday.
