RNC to host second GOP presidential debate in California

The Republican National Committee will host the second GOP presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel announced Thursday.

“I am honored to be able to make one really important announcement here today. The second presidential primary debate will take place here at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California,” McDaniel said during remarks at the library.

“I firmly believe that our next president will be on that stage,” McDaniel continued. “The next election is so important. We’re not dealing with small minor differences between two parties. These aren’t simple policy discussions that we’re discussing. We’re electing and determining the future of our country.”

The RNC previously announced that Fox News will host the first GOP presidential primary debate in Milwaukee in August. In 2024, the RNC head back to Milwaukee for the national convention.
