Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk went viral on Friday, tweeting that any adult who sterilizes children deserves to get life behind bars.
“Any parent or doctor who sterilizes a child before they are a consenting adult should go to prison for life,” the billionaire tweeted in reference to sex-change procedures for minors.

Musk’s remarks were in response to a tweet from commentator Josie Glabach, who goes by The Redheaded Libertarian on social media. She shared an MSNBC opinion article that said Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was “destroying an entire state” through his recent policies.
“Governor DeSantis: you can’t sex change for your child in Florida,” she wrote before showing MSNBC’s tweet.
Musk’s remarks were supported by many on the Right.
“Why is this a controversial statement?” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted.
Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) similarly blasted the practices Musk chided, calling them “child abuse.”

“It’s child abuse and mental illness,” Miller tweeted.
“Parents and doctors who encourage hormone therapy and surgery are evil, period. Common sense is no longer common,” the representative said.
