Pro-Trump political consultant Alex Bruesewitz appears ready to run for Rep. Mike Gallagher’s (R-WI) seat if he decides to run for the Senate.

A person familiar with the matter told the Hill that Bruesewitz’s plans are reliant on whether Gallagher will run for reelection or the Senate; he will only vie for the representative’s seat if he opts out for a Senate campaign. The consultant grew up a few miles south of the congressional district and has family in the area.

A person close to Bruesewitz said he’s taking a strong look at running and the Hill’s reporting is accurate.

“Alex is a MAGA warrior and would easily win this deep Republican seat,” a person close to Bruesewitz told the outlet. “If Gallagher decides to run for Senate, his good relationships with Trumpworld and GOP leaders would be unmatched.”

Gallagher, for his part, doesn’t seem to be champing at the bit to run for the Senate against Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-WI). He told CNN that he’s “not thinking about it at present.”

“I’d never conceived of this as a long-term thing; I don’t think Congress should be a career,” he said. “I’m going to weigh all those factors and see where I can make the best impact.”

Bruesewitz, co-founder of political consulting firm X Strategies, has positioned himself as a Trump die-hard and outspoken social media personality. He has pursued public feuds with high-profile Republicans such as Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), whom he accuses of running a “globalist funded shadow presidential campaign.”

He recently entered a legal battle with former Trump legal team member Jenna Ellis after sharing an edited image of her logo over a picture of porn star Stormy Daniels. Ellis’s lawyers sent him a cease and desist letter over the matter, which he appears ready to defy.
