The Shelby County, Tennessee Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on reappointing Democratic state Rep. Justin Pearson after he was expelled from the state legislature last week for violating the chamber’s rules on decorum.

Pearson and Democratic state Rep. Justin Jones were expelled from the legislature after they, along with Democratic state Rep. Gloria Johnson, halted business of the chamber by using a megaphone to protest from the well in the statehouse chamber.

Johnson came one vote shy of being expelled, after she argued she did not use the bullhorn and simply stood beside the other two in the well.
