A shooting at a Delaware mall’s food court on Saturday evening left three individuals wounded, authorities said Saturday.

The incident took place at the Christiana Mall in Newark, Delaware, prompting an evacuation. Delaware State Police said in a tweet Saturday that those injured were taken to an area hospital, but did not disclose their conditions. They said that while there is no suspect in custody, the public should feel safe at this time.

“We can confirm that there are 3 victims who were injured by gunfire and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment,” DESP said in a tweet. “There are currently no public safety concerns at Christiana Mall and the surrounding area.”

The mall will remain closed for the rest of Saturday while authorities investigate, the police force said. Police also asked for people to keep away from the area for the immediate future, but set up a reunification site at the north entrance of the mall for those trying to locate someone.

The mall, the largest in the state, is located in a northern community near Pennsylvania.
