Former President Donald Trump unleashed his fury over a Manhattan grand jury’s vote to indict him for his role in an alleged $130,000 hush money payment, predicting the move will backfire.

“These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just INDICATED the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President,” Trump fumed in a scathing Truth Social post, apparently so angry that he misspelled “indicted.”

DONALD TRUMP INDICTED: FORMER PRESIDENT REPORTEDLY CHARGED IN MANHATTAN HUSH MONEY CASE

“THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!” he continued.

Joe Tacopina, a lawyer for Trump, confirmed that the former president was briefed on the Manhattan grand jury’s vote to indict him, but the charges remain sealed.

In a statement released by his campaign shortly before the Truth Social post, Trump dusted off more of his fiery rhetoric, raging against the bevy of investigations against him as “blatant election interference.”

“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats — the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country — have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt,” Trump decried in a statement.

“Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done. The Democrats have cheated countless times over the decades, including spying on my campaign, but weaponizing our justice system to punish a political opponent, who just so happens to be a President of the United States,” Trump added.

Trump predicted that the indictment vote will ultimately backfire on the Democrats.

“I believe this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden. The American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it. So our Movement, and our Party — united and strong,” he said.

Trump’s former fixer and lawyer Michael Cohen admitted to wiring $130,000 via a shell company to porn star Stormy Daniels, also known as Stephanie Gregory Clifford, during the 2016 election tail-end. The payment was made in exchange for her signing a nondisclosure agreement to stay mum about an alleged affair with Trump nearly a decade prior.

Ahead of the speculated indictment, numerous reports indicated that Bragg’s office was mulling the prospect of pairing a misdemeanor charge of falsifying records of a reimbursement scheme to Cohen with a campaign finance violation to achieve a felony charge. It is not immediately clear what charges the special grand jury reportedly approved.

Trump has vehemently denied wrongdoing and repeatedly blasted the inquiry, which began in 2018 as a “witch hunt.” His campaign received a considerable financial boost last week when rumors of a forthcoming reached a fever pitch. He is currently the 2024 GOP front-runner.

An indictment of a former president is unprecedented, though former President Ulysses S. Grant was arrested in 1872 for speeding.
