President Joe Biden and top administration officials, including White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had previously avoided commenting on the case after rumors of a pending indictment were made public earlier in March.

DONALD TRUMP INDICTED: FORMER PRESIDENT REPORTEDLY CHARGED IN MANHATTAN HUSH MONEY CASE

A Manhattan grand jury voted Thursday to indict Trump, the front-runner to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. The charges are believed to be in relation to hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

Joe Tacopina, a lawyer for Trump, confirmed that the former president was made aware of the Manhattan grand jury’s vote, though the indictment itself remains sealed.

The former president himself had previously floated his own arrest in relation to the case on his social media site, Truth Social.

Trump is expected to be fingerprinted and booked in New York in the coming days, at which point the indictment could be unsealed.
