President Joe Biden will commence the Small Business Administration 2023 Women’s Business Summit on Monday afternoon as a continued celebration of Women’s History Month.

The two-day hybrid summit, spanning Tuesday through Wednesday, will consist of virtual panels, workshops, and fireside chats to help women-owned small businesses build and grow, according to the SBA’s website. The event includes collaboration with the National Women’s Business Council and will also feature in-person salon and training sessions.

Over 27,000 participants attended the inaugural SBA’s Women’s Business Summit last year. Speakers and business leaders for this year’s summit have not been announced.

The summit comes after a month of financial turmoil stemming from the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank in early March. On Monday, First Citizens Bank announced it would buy the failed California-based bank and assume all deposits — estimated to be more than $119 billion.

In February, the House Small Business Committee wrote a letter to Biden asking the president to nominate the SBA’s chief counsel for advocacy, who is meant to serve as an “independent voice for small businesses” and a watchdog for compliance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act.

The summit will begin at 2:30 p.m. EST on Monday.
