Ikea shoppers eligible to claim share of $24 million settlement

Select avid shoppers of the iconic furniture retailer Ikea can claim a share of a $24 million settlement and give themselves some extra pocket cash.
This settlement is the result of Ikea North America including the first six and last four digits of credit and debit card numbers on printed receipts, according to a 2019 class-action lawsuit. By including more than the last five digits on printed receipts, the retailer violated the 2003 Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, according to CNET.

Ikea has denied any wrongdoing in the situation.
To be eligible for this settlement, a person needed to have shopped at Ikea between Oct. 18, 2017, and Dec. 31, 2019, and used a debit or credit card during their shopping trip.
Many people eligible for this settlement have already received a postcard or email notice with a claim number to use when partaking in this settlement online. For those who have not received a postcard or email, they can download and print out a personalized claim form and mail it to the following address:

While the exact amount one can receive from this settlement will vary based on the total number of valid claims submitted, the plaintiffs estimate it will be somewhere between $30 and $60.
All claims must be submitted or mailed by 11:59 p.m. PDT on May 4.
