Former press secretary Jen Psaki’s MSNBC hosting debut saw an increase in numbers for the network, even beating out Fox News in the key 25-54 age demographic.
Psaki, who served as press secretary to President Joe Biden during the first 16 months of his administration, premiered her new show, Inside with Jen Psaki, last week at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

According to ratings, Psaki’s show reportedly almost doubled the number of viewers from the program prior to hers on MSNBC. The network’s show Velshi only brought in 572,000 viewers, while Psaki raked in 1,094,000.
Despite garnering a large number of viewers, she still failed to best Fox News Live, which saw 1,106,000 viewers at the same time.
However, the new show enjoyed 137,000 viewers from the key 25-54 demographic that advertisers look for. Fox News Live fell short of this, garnering 123,000 comparatively.

The first episode of Psaki’s show featured interviews with big names such as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), and New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
It remains to be seen whether the program will maintain this momentum to compete with Fox News after its premiere.
