The View’s Ana Navarro did not mince words while discussing the Republican Party on Monday, specifically taking shots at two of its most popular figures, former President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

The women addressed Trump’s remarks at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference in which he dubbed himself a “warrior” for his supporters. This prompted Sunny Hostin to ask, “Who is he fighting?”

Navarro claimed, “He’s fighting transgenders. He’s fighting drag queens. You know, they’re fighting black history. They’re fighting truth. They’re fighting facts. They’re fighting science. That’s what they’re fighting.”

However, she added, “It’s not just Trump.”

She told her co-hosts that DeSantis is using the same playbook.

“It’s about manufactured culture wars. It’s not about logic,” Navarro explained. “It’s: ‘Let’s make things up that enrage people, that aggrieve people, that piss people off, that make them feel oppressed, that make them feel like victims, and I’m going to make them feel that I’m going to fight for them.'”

“And Ron DeSantis is saying the same thing,” she claimed.

She added that “The entire Republican Party, because it’s happening in so many states, is taking this manufactured culture war way too far.”

The show then played a clip from Daily Wire host Michael Knowles’s CPAC speech, in which he said that “transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely.”

Reacting to his remarks, Navarro said, “This is, you know, this is now the train they’re on. ‘Lets go after transgender people. Let’s go after LGBTQ+.’ It’s going to wind up getting somebody hurt, and it needs to stop.”

“If you really are concerned about your children and their security, pass some commonsense gun reform and leave the drag queens the hell alone,” she told viewers.

Chiming in, Whoopi Goldberg claimed, “Nobody has ever killed anybody with a drag queen. But guns kill people all the time.”
