Kellyanne was the campaign manager for Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential campaign and the first woman to run a winning presidential campaign. She later served as a counselor to the president until August 2020.

Her husband George, who once served as a lawyer for Paula Jones in her lawsuit against President Bill Clinton, became a vocal Trump critic on social media and helped create the anti-Trump group The Lincoln Project.

Among his many disparaging tweets about his wife’s employer, her husband mocked the idea of a “Trump presidential library,” calling it a “double oxymoron” on Twitter in 2019.

Trump responded to the numerous tweets from his counselor’s husband.

“George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him,” Trump tweeted.

Trump then called him “a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”

He also called George Conway “a total loser.”

“Congratulations! You just guaranteed that millions of more people are going to learn about narcissistic personality disorder and malignant narcissism! Great job!” George Conway tweeted in response.

In a television interview with ABC News, Trump called him “a whack job” who is “doing a tremendous disservice to a wonderful wife. … I call him Mr. Kellyanne.”

Kellyanne wrote in her 2022 memoir Here’s the Deal that her husband’s constant attacks on her boss and work in the White House was damaging to the marriage and called it “cheating by tweeting.”

Her husband explained in an interview that his public tweets ripping Trump were because he didn’t want to “end up screaming at her about it.”

“How can Kellyanne can stay working in the White House after her boss said what he just said about her husband? Her husband,” John Podhoretz tweeted.

The View co-host Meghan McCain questioned whether it was “worth it” for Kellyanne to keep working for the Trump White House.

“Was it worth it to rip your family apart for this? Because it wouldn’t be for me,” McCain said in a 2019 episode of the ABC show.

To add to the turmoil in the Conway home, their teenage daughter Claudia Conway, used her Tiktok account to tape her mother.

Kellyanne announced her departure from the White House in August 2020, and at the same time, her husband also tweeted that he was withdrawing from the Lincoln Project “to devote more time to family matters.”

She said she needed time to be with her family so there could be “less drama, more mama.”

Their 15-year-old daughter Claudia responded to their work departures by suggesting they may divorce and made many claims about how she had been treated by her parents. She claimed that she wanted to be “emancipated” from her parents and was talking to “pro bono lawyers.”

The following year, Claudia told her TikTok fans that she and her mother now had a better relationship. They had started going to therapy together.

The couple united behind their daughter’s ambitions to audition for the popular singing competition show American Idol.

Last August, Claudia joined the social media trend to declare her sexuality.

“I just want to say I am part of the LGBTQ community,” the Conway daughter said on TikTok.

On Wednesday, the former Trump White House adviser had to deal with more legal drama surrounding her work with the former president. She met with prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as part of their criminal investigation into Trump and the alleged hush money payment to Stormy Daniels. The former president called the investigation a “witch hunt.”

The Conways wed in 2001 and have four children together.
