Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) slammed President Joe Biden as insensitive for mocking her, claiming he laughed about fentanyl overdose deaths earlier this week.

“It’s shocking that Joe Biden laughs at mothers of children who have died of fentanyl poisoning,” Greene tweeted on Thursday. “What’s funny about Americans dying from fentanyl, Joe? The families who have lost loved ones from fentanyl aren’t laughing.”

MOTHER WHO LOST TWO SONS TO FENTANYL DEMANDS BIDEN APOLOGIZE FOR MOCKING HER PAIN

Greene’s comments come in response to Biden knocking the Georgia congresswoman for blaming him for fentanyl deaths that actually occurred under the Trump administration. During a Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, Greene cited testimony from conservative activist Rebecca Kiessling while pinning the deaths of her two sons in July 2020 on the president.

“Listen to this mother, who lost two children to fentanyl poisoning, tell the truth about both of her son’s murders because of the Biden administration’s refusal to secure our border and stop the Cartels from murdering Americans every day by Chinese fentanyl,” Greene tweeted on Tuesday.

Biden responded to those claims at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference in Baltimore earlier this week, mocking Greene for the factual error.

“Isn’t she amazing?” he quipped. “Well, the interesting thing is that fentanyl they took came during the last administration,” he added with a slight chuckle.

Kiessling also responded to Biden’s comments, calling on the president to apologize for suggesting that he is not responsible for her sons’ deaths because they occurred during the previous administration. She said his remarks minimized the deaths of those who have died during his two years in office.

“I was completely disturbed,” Kiessling told the Washington Examiner. “I had to respond. He still needs to apologize to all of us.”

The comments come as Biden has vowed to crack down on the fentanyl epidemic, emphasizing those efforts during his State of the Union address in February. Biden also visited several land ports of entry in El Paso, Texas, in January, urging officials to invest in more technology to seize fentanyl as smugglers attempt to push it across the border.
