One of the NFL’s greatest running backs tore into Damar Hamlin Sunday after the Buffalo Bills safety wore a controversial Jesus jacket to the Super Bowl.

Hamlin, 24, drew a lot of attention sitting next to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Donna Kelce by wearing a jacket displaying a crucifix and modified Jesus heads, and Adrian Peterson called him out for it.

“You should be thanking God son! This is Blasphemy!!” Peterson posted to social media. “We all fall short but cmon man! I find this disrespectful!! #grateful #goddid.”

Hamlin was there to help honor the first responders who helped save his life when he collapsed on Jan. 2, and he did so wearing the $3,150 Takashi Murakami “Travis Jesus” jacket.

The jacket is designed like a varsity jacket, with two distorted Jesus heads, a crucifix on the back, and a message reading, “Without End or Beginning There is no Day and There is no night.”

While Peterson did not take kindly to the jacket, another legendary running back disagreed with the three-time rushing leader.

“You should DM him bro…I’m sure he’s listen to your opinion. Posting it doesn’t help anyone,” former Pro Bowler Fred Taylor commented on Peterson’s post.

“He’s young, young ppl don’t always think before they wear things just like people who wear skulls and other things that doesn’t align with Christian beliefs. Try to reach him.”

Peterson responded to Taylor by doubling down.

“But this was different! I know young people don’t think at times, older as well! But with everything surrounding his situation!! This isn’t one of those moments where it’s a young guy not thinking,” he wrote back.
