CNN’s Don Lemon said he was frightened by the sight of billionaire Twitter owner Elon Musk sitting next to Fox Corp. Chairman and News Corp. Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch.
On CNN This Morning, Lemon expressed that he was surprised by the seating arrangement. “Wow, they actually did it,” he said. “It’s a little frightening, I must say.”
Lemon’s co-host, Kaitlan Collins, didn’t feel the same, explaining that she wasn’t surprised by the matchup. Semafor Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith agreed, noting that “it seems like the most predictable thing in the world.”

“It stood out, but it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, wow,'” said Collins.
Musk and Murdoch were photographed sitting together to watch Super Bowl LVII on Sunday night in Glendale, Arizona. Murdoch’s daughter Elisabeth was also present.
As Twitter began speculating about what the two prominent businessmen could be discussing, Musk replied to a post, telling users that they were talking about “dogecoin.”

Dogecoin is a meme-inspired cryptocurrency. One user pointed out that Musk was wearing a dogecoin shirt for the game, as well.
The cryptocurrency reportedly spiked after Musk’s tweet.

Meanwhile, CNN This Morning is drawing some of the lowest ratings in the key 24-54 age demographic that the network has seen in a decade.
According to Nielsen data, the relatively new morning program is only drawing 18.6% of the coveted demographic as of late, despite increasing its overall viewership by 30.2% since its November launch.
