Author and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is reportedly exploring a bid for president in 2024.

The writer of Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam has been going around Iowa and exploring his options for a presidential run, according to Politico.

BIDEN LOOKS TO CONVINCE VOTERS THEY’RE NOT ‘WORSE OFF’ BEFORE 2024

“I’m grateful that many Republican governors and other leaders have borrowed my message and woven it into their policy agendas. But when it comes to who leads our country next, I believe that it’s going to take a leader who shares his own vision, not someone else’s, and that’s what calls me to do this,” Ramaswamy told the outlet.

The outlet said Ramaswamy would be looking to run on an “ideas-based campaign” that would center on ideas of merit in society and reenergizing the “American spirit.”

“We’re in the middle of a national identity crisis. Our nation is hungry for purpose, meaning, and identity. My generation cannot even answer the question of what it means to be an American in 2023. I’m on a mission to deliver an answer to that question,” Ramaswamy said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

If Ramaswamy runs for the presidency, it is not certain if he would run as an independent or in the Republican primary, although he has surrounded himself with several Republicans, hinting at a GOP primary run.

Dubbed the “CEO of Anti-Woke, Inc.” by the New Yorker, Ramaswamy has been a vocal critic of environmental, social, and governance investing, along with other “woke” initiatives being taken up in companies, arguing companies should stay out of politics.

Currently, the only announced candidate for the 2024 election is former President Donald Trump, but former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is expected to announce her bid on Wednesday.

The front-runners on the GOP side among confirmed and potential candidates include Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis. Trump has already taken aim at DeSantis, despite the governor not announcing his intentions for 2024. On the Democratic side, President Joe Biden is expected to run for a second term.
