The month of March is a few weeks away. With it will come several payments from states to residents.

All of these payments will be made to residents of the states before the end of March. Some will be larger than others depending on the recipient.

Alaska

Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend is accepting applications through March 31. It will give applicants a payment of $3,284, according to Alaska’s Department of Revenue.

Connecticut

The state of Connecticut will begin issuing payments from its Premium Pay program in the next five to six weeks, according to the state’s comptroller’s office. The payments, worth up to $1,000, should arrive between March 1 and March 11, according to U.S. Sun.

Applicants who applied by Oct. 1 will receive anywhere between $200 and $1,000, with full-time essential workers who made less than $50,000 eligible for the highest payment of $1,000. Essential workers who make over $50,000 will receive less for every additional $10,000 they make annually, with $800 given to workers who made between $50,000 and $60,000, $750 for workers who made between $60,000 and $70,000, and so on.

Idaho

Gov. Brad Little (R-ID) and the Idaho legislature authorized a rebate in September. It will go to people who were full-year Idaho residents for 2020 and 2021 and filed income tax returns for those years. The amount of this rebate will be $300 for individual filers and $600 for joint filers or 10% of a taxpayer’s 2020 income taxes — whichever is greater, according to the Idaho government.

The Tax Commission is expecting to send these rebates by the end of March. Recipients can track their payments online at tax.idaho.gov/rebate.

Illinois

Residents of New Lenox, a village in Illinois, will receive a payment averaging $350 from the village’s Property Tax Refund Program next month.

To have qualified for this payment, New Lenox residents must have applied for it by Dec. 15. All recipients will have their checks issued to them around March 6.

Maine

The Maine Revenue Services sent 5,000 checks worth $450 on Monday, Jan. 30, and, going forward, will send an estimated 200,000 payments each week.

To qualify for these payments, applicants needed to have filed by Oct. 31 of last year and fall into one of the following categories:

Single filer making less than $100,000 annually Head of a household making less than $150,000 annually Joint filers who make under $200,000 annually

A portal from the state revenue service is available for recipients to check the status of their relief checks.

South Carolina

South Carolina’s tax rebate is available for all state residents who file their taxes by Feb. 15, with the payment being issued to recipients in March, according to the state’s Department of Revenue.

The size of the rebate that applicants receive will depend on their tax liability, which is the amount of state income tax that a South Carolina resident owes for the 2021 tax year. If a resident’s tax liability is less than $800, the rebate amount will be equal to the tax liability. Anyone whose tax liability is greater than $800 will receive exactly $800.
