“It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure,” friend Laurie Jacobsen wrote on Facebook. “She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night.”

Loring’s daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirmed the actress died Saturday night at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.

“She went peacefully with both her daughters [Vanessa and Marianne] holding her hands,” Foumberg told the Hollywood Reporter.

Loring was best known for her 1960s role as the pale, pig-tailed Wednesday in The Addams Family. She played that role from 1964 until 1966 and later appeared as an older version of the character in the 1977 television film Halloween with the New Addams Family.
