A New Jersey school bus crashed into a home Friday morning after dropping off its students.

The bus was empty at around 8:30 a.m. following a stop at the Essex County Vocational School 3 miles away from the crash site on Passaic Avenue in West Caldwell. Its impact upon hitting the home shifted the foundation, compromised the stability of the home, crumpled the front engine of the bus, and broke its windshield, according to West Caldwell Police.

As a result, the driver was taken into custody with minor injuries as he refused medical attention at the scene. The WCPD chief confirmed that no charges have been filed against the driver yet.
