The Republican National Committee is set to vote on a resolution condemning right-wing personality Nick Fuentes and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, by name.

The resolution also names Milo Yiannopoulos as subject to condemnation, as well as antisemitism in general.

The resolution was proposed by California National Committeeman Shawn Steel, Politico reported. Steel said the resolution aims to prevent antisemitic “nitwits” from defining the Republican Party.

“I want to create a standard for all political parties in America, that we don’t tolerate bigotry, and in this particular case, antisemitism,” Steel told Politico in an interview.

The resolution aims to “formally condemn, denounce, censure and oppose all forms of bigotry, racism, ethnic prejudice, religious intolerance, antisemitism, antisemitic statements, and any antisemitic elements that seek to infiltrate the Republican Party.”

The resolution says “shameful” remarks from the trio are “contrary to American and Republican principles.”

Steel said he expects the resolution, which already has 30 co-sponsors, to pass unanimously at the RNC’s winter meeting later this week.

The move comes months after a widely publicized dinner at Mar-a-Lago between former President Donald Trump, Fuentes, and Ye. Trump later explained that he wasn’t aware of who Fuentes was and Ye had only brought him along without Trump’s knowledge.

Fuentes has been decried as a white supremacist and antisemite by Republican and Democratic figures. However, he disputes this characterization, telling the Washington Examiner in November, “I reject all labels other than Christian American.”
