The Passion of the Christ now available on streaming

The Passion of the Christ can now be viewed on multiple streaming platforms.

Following its theatrical release in 2004, Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ faced significant backlash from audiences and film critics for “being too violent, bigoted, and historically inaccurate,” according to MovieWeb.

‘MORE TO TELL’: MEL GIBSON’S PASSION OF THE CHRIST SEQUEL TO BEGIN FILMING IN 2023

The film has now been made available for streaming on Hulu and Amazon’s Prime Video, among other streaming sites.

The news follows the announcements that the film’s sequel is set to begin filming in the spring. The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection will reportedly depict the three days between Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection.

The original film garnered more than $612 million on just a $39 million budget. The Passion of the Christ is also noted as one of the top 10 highest-grossing R-rated movies of all time, according to Box Office Mojo.
