“The prime minister’s visit marks the first time a world leader has made an appearance on a Drag Race franchise,” Bell Media told AFP.
Publicist Ama Sechere also noted that on the show Trudeau “talks to the queens about Canada’s inclusivity and offers his support to Canadian competitors going up against international queens.”
The show will feature nine international drag queens, including four alums from Canada’s Drag Race show, as each represents their home country in a battle for the crown.

The show is a Canadian spin-off of the original American series RuPaul’s Drag Race, on which Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has made multiple guest appearances. Her most recent appearance was in May and she told the contestants that their “freedom of expression, of yourselves in drag, is what America is all about.”
