Friday marks the two-year anniversary of President Joe Biden being sworn into office, and White House officials are equipping allies with talking points to tout his record over the last two years.
In a memo sent to Democratic lawmakers on Friday, the White House prepared a “cheat sheet” of accomplishments the Biden administration has achieved over the last two years that they can use to share with constituents or reporters. The memo seeks to emphasize policy items Biden has managed to push through Congress while also warning of “MAGA Republicans” who now control the House.

“In the past two years, we saw significant economic growth as the President built the most significant legislative record since the Johnson Administration,” Kate Bedingfield, the White House’s communications director, wrote in the memo. “And due to the overwhelming popularity of the President’s economic agenda, the President had the best first midterm election results of any Democratic President in 60 years.”
The cheat sheet includes a number of bullet points, including recent job growth, lowering prices amid record-high inflation, and Biden’s record on confirmed judicial nominees. The White House also touted Biden’s efforts to restore global alliances and push against Russian aggression as the Kremlin continues to wage war in Ukraine.
The White House especially pointed to Biden’s record on manufacturing and creating jobs in that sector, citing nearly $300 billion in investments from private companies to invest in projects to boost the economy.

However, the cheat sheet ended with a warning against “MAGA Republicans in Congress,” whom the Biden administration argues are seeking to “fight for the super-wealthy.” The memo went on to urge Democrats to fight against the GOP’s “divisive agenda” that includes measures to ban abortion nationwide and propose spending cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
“As we move into the third year of the Biden Administration, the President will continue to fight every day to grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out and give middle class families breathing room,” the memo reads. “This is in contrast to MAGA Republicans in Congress who are creating chaos and proposing an extreme and divisive agenda.”
