A conservative British member of Parliament challenged an anti-Brexit activist to a boxing match after a viral spat between them.
Lee Anderson has had a long-running feud with activist Steve Bray, who is known for protesting against Brexit in a flamboyant top hat. The two have had a number of confrontations, according to the Telegraph, with the latest occurring last week.

After a brief exchange of insults, Anderson stole Bray’s famous top hat, winning praise from noted Brexit advocate Nigel Farage.

Speaking about the latest exchange on the Chopper’s Politics podcast, Anderson suggested that the two settle the score once and for all — in the boxing ring.
“He had a go at my weight. This is a man who was quite clearly out of condition. I’m trying to do something about it, but here is a challenge,” Anderson said. “He is a nuisance. And I’ve got a challenge for him: Meet me in the boxing ring. Let’s do three rounds. And if I win, he never protests out there again. And if he wins, I’ll go and protest with him.”
“It is a boxing match, Queensbury rules. Gloves on, for charity. Let’s do some fundraising,” he added. The funds would go to a men’s suicide awareness charity.
Bray was actually somewhat receptive to the challenge, hinting that he might accept.
“I will think about it. I might have to get into a bit of shape first,” Bray told the Telegraph when asked about the proposition.

The interaction last week, viewed more than 2.5 million times, saw the two exchange heated insults. Anderson called Bray a “parasite,” “scounger,” and “malingerer.” Bray suggested that Anderson was fat and finished the interaction by calling him a “piece of s***.”
