Los Angeles coroner determines Leslie Jordan’s cause of death

The Los Angeles County coroner released actor Leslie Jordan’s cause of death Thursday, nearly four months after his demise.
Jordan was found dead at the scene after his car crashed against a building on Oct. 24, but, according to the Associated Press, the coroner determined he died prior to the crash of cardiac dysfunction due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. As a result, his cause of death was listed as natural. There was no evidence of life-threatening trauma.
Arteriosclerosis happens when the arteries harden, making it more difficult for blood to flow through them.

In the two decades leading up to his death, Jordan was sober, and no alcohol or drugs were found in his body, according to a toxicology report.
Jordan was best known for his roles in American Horror Story, Hearts Afire, and Will & Grace, a sitcom in which he played the role of Beverly Leslie. In American Horror Story, Jordan played three different characters in three different seasons of the show. He was on the verge of releasing a spiritual hymn, per his final Instagram post, as he had seen success with a spiritual album.
