A 12-year-old Massachusetts boy in Florida reeled in an 11-foot great white shark Tuesday while fishing in the waters off the coast of South Florida.
“So, I was a little bit nervous — like, I don’t know if I want to go up against a shark,” Campbell Keenan said. “But it did make me really excited.”

Keenan was in Florida on a trip to Fort Lauderdale and had gone fishing with his mother, according to a report.
Roughly a mile offshore, the 12-year-old baited his hook and soon found himself battling with the world’s largest predatory fish on the end of his line.
“That is 100% a goddamn shark!” one person yells in video of the incident posted to social media.
For roughly 45 minutes, Keenan fought with the 700-pound predator, the report noted.
“They gave the rod to me, and I just started crankin’,” he said.
Eventually, he brought it in.
