It’s a nutcase: Planters opens search for Nutmobile drivers

Planters is looking to pay people to have the nuttiest experience of their life.
The classic nut brand is seeking to hire adventurous college graduates to drive Mr. Peanut across the United States in its iconic Nutmobile.
Planters will pay three new “peanutters” to drive the peanut-on-wheels vehicle while “‘shellebrating’ the communities they visit,” according to the company’s job posting.

Those hired will share in community volunteer projects and participate in media appearances.
Listed job requirements include a “desire to travel, an appetite for adventure, and proficiency in nut puns,” along with a bachelor’s degree.
Current “peanutter” Grace said highlights of the job have included “meeting other mascots,” “getting front-row tickets to [concerts], “collaborating with creators,” and traveling to a new city each week as she sees landmarks such as “national parks through the eyes of a giant peanut.”

Applicants should submit a cover letter and a video explaining why they would be a great fit for the job by Feb. 14.
Planters said the job would run from June 2023 to June 2024.
