Kirk Cameron offers Bud Light marketing advice: ‘You forgot to read the room’

Actor, film producer, and author Kirk Cameron offered Bud Light some marketing advice amid the beer company’s declining sales following a highly-criticized partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Cameron took to Twitter with a suggestion on how the company can better connect with its customers.

“Hey Bud Light, I know what happened,” Cameron said in a video post that had been viewed more than 213,000 times as of Thursday morning. “It’s a rookie mistake. You forgot to read the room.”

The Growing Pains actor suggested that instead of getting angry at the companies that have gone “woke,” families should “invest your time, energy, and money into the people that are building the country you want for your kids.”

Cameron recently traveled to the Seattle Public Library where he and Joe Kennedy, the high school football coach who was fired for praying with students at games, encouraged parents to continue to stand for liberty and traditional family values.

“We’re in a culture that increasingly seems to have our eyes focused more and more on ourselves — self-exultation and it’s all about self-expression,” Cameron told those in attendance. “The virtue of self-control, and humility, and thinking of others first is rare and we need more and more of that.”

He then read his children’s books As You Grow and Pride Comes Before the Fall.

Cameron also exclusively told the Washington Examiner that he is finding hope as he sees the “power of God working in the hearts of people” who attend the library stops along his nationwide story hour tour.

Anheuser-Busch has seen its Bud Light beer sales decline over the previous two months after it sent a personalized Bud Light can to Mulvaney, who subsequently made two posts with the can. Backlash from the company’s customer base ensued.
